This book is a guide for open relationships. I found this book helpful for me in my relationships (not just romantic) through guiding me through my own insecurities that may manifest as jealousy. What I love about the book is that is transcends polyamorous relationship to discuss strategies for dealing with jealousy, control, insecurity, codependency and other common relationship concerns that can be present in any type of relationship. It is a book that I recommend for people who celebrate monogamy as well as a must read for people exploring polyamory or threesomes.

I love how the title “The Ethical Slut” challenges the belief that having multiple partners is immoral and wrong and the book approaches sexuality in a very non-shaming way to help people work their “internalizes slutism.” It teaches people how to have multiple partners in a intimate way while being respectful of their boundaries and your own. It brings awareness to how your insecurities affect you, your partner, your intimate relationship(s), and even friendships.
