The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom

Kevin Lofton

It’s an uplifting and comforting book. Very delightful and easy read. It’s about the connections and influences that one human life makes over a lifetime. It has a kind of “It’s a Wonderful Life”/ A Christmas Carol appeal, very insightful and meaningful. The impact of the story derives from the premise that all our lives are connected, whether we realize it or not, and the choices we make while we are here have the kind of ripple effect that a pebble has when thrown in a lake. We seldom understand our choices in their proper or full context, and the people we meet in heaven help us to put our time on earth in the proper perspective. It is only after we have achieved this higher understanding, if you will, that we are allowed to proceed on our way to heaven.

It’s a 200 page book but the length is slightly misleading. It’s not 200 standard size pages and is a very fast read.
